The film evolves from a traditionally centered images towards images covering lengths of the filmstrip and which originate from the filmmaterial itself.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image86\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joostrekveld.net\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/printer.gif\" alt=\"printer.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>VRFLM consists of 11 sections of which the duration and content was determined beforehand. These I filled in while improvising. Most of the images stem from a piece of found footage which zooms in on a fire during about 30 seconds. I manipulated this original using colour filters, by combining negative and positive versions, by slowing down and speeding up and by solarisation.
